Cobra Design to Launch new passenger seat in 2012
Following the initial development stages Cobra Design are pleased to announce that they are on schedule to launch their new passenger seat into the rail market by the middle of 2012. Major Driver Seat Contract Won
Cobra Design Centre are please to announce that they have won a major contract to manufacture drivers seats for class 319 vehicles. The tight timescales mean that 162 drivers seats will be supplied during February and March 2012.

Cobra Design Centre's new high back drivers seat is proving to be a hit with the drivers. Improved comfort levels and ease of adjustment is making the new pedestal seat the drivers favorite.

Cobra Design Centre are pleased to announce that its BS:EN ISO9001 approval has been renewed following a successful audit. Approval has been gained to the latest 2008 version ensuring the ongoing quality of our products and services.
Cobra Design Commended at Manufacturer Awards 2008
Following successful implementation of a new MRP system in June 2007, we are please to announce that Cobra Design have been given an award and commended by "The Manufacturer Awards 2008".
The MRP software supplied by Rent-It Systems UK Ltd of Southampton, has transformed the processes right through from Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Financial Control. Savings have been achieved through tighter cost control, lower stock levels and leaner manufacturing, benefiting the customer in the form of competitive pricing and continuing to supply high levels of service.

We are pleased to announce that I M Kelly Automotive Limited have acquired a controlling interest in Cobra Design Centre ensuring our advanced rail seating development and production has a bright future.
I M Kelly Automotive Limited have built an enviable position in automotive, marine and aeronautical seat trim production in the UK. The strategic addition of the rail seating expertise of Cobra Design to their portfolio further enhances their position in transport seating.
In addition to future financial security for Cobra Design, the advanced development and production facilities of the IM Kelly Automotive manufacturing facilities in Kettering and Coventry will be available for rail seating trim and production.
We will spearhead the company into the next exciting stage of the company’s development as a major rail seating and supplies company.
New Bulkhead Mounted Drivers' Seat
Cobra Design Centre is please to announce a brand new development to its already successful bulkhead mounted drivers seat.
The new seat incorporates a gas strust height rise mechanism in place of the previous mechanical winding mechanism. This improvement gives the driver far more flexibility of adjustment with respect to the height of the seat and also offers a level of protection to the driver against vibration.
The design, manufacture and rigorous testing was carried out in very short timescale despite the complexity of the requirements.
Rail Interiors Expo
This event was a great success for Cobra Design Centre with products receiving much interest, both from UK and overseas customers. The latest addition to our product range was the high back turntable seat giving added functionality for the train operator.
